XMotion Mega V2 (30A x 2, All In One Controller – BLACK)

It includes powerful Motor drivers (30A x 2), switching mode high voltage input regulator (600ma Output), interface circuits. With protected features, it is all in one board for lots of different type robot projects.

We strongly suggest for non-magnetic sumo robot (20x20cm & 3 kg) projects and explorer robots.

First of all it is Arduino compatible! VERY EASY TO PROGRAM WITH ARDUINO SOFTWARE.  Just attach controller with USB cable and choose Arduino Leonardo model at Arduino software.

What is that Technical features?

• – Small dimension. It was very important factor at our design, small but at same time stabilized design. We managed to make 118 x 50 x 13.5mm dimension board without restricts. For many different types of robots, only XMotion Mega can be sufficent.
• – 30 Ampere (Tested) x 2 Motor drive outputs.  This outputs can supply high currents and gives juice more than enough for small robotics projects. When compared with traditional boards 30 Ampere triples, doubles the other boards.  Also they are protected for short circuits.
• – Voltage input protected for reverse connection. At full current voltage drop at reverse connection mosfets is only 60 millivolts! Also with reverse voltage protection you don’t need to fear attaching batteries with wrong polarity. When you attach reverse polarity, wrong polarity led (Reverse Led) will light on.
• – Built-in regulator can work up to 24V! (For generic Arduino boards this voltage is 15V with lots of heat) XMotion Mega never heats.
• – You can program with micro USB. Main Mcu (ATMEGA 32U4) preloaded with Arduino Leonardo Software. Very easy to program.
• – You can connect up to 11 sensors or interface circuits with green terminals (9 of them is green connectors, 2 is I2C Expansion port).
• – At backside all used inputs are written clearly for easy program. Also we are sending you demo codes for sumo robot projects.
• – Every I/O pin used at board is clearly written to silkscreen of PCB. It will help user to understand pin usage.

Two Different Scenarios, 2 Different Paths

For example, you will make a project such as a 3kg sumo robot or a 10kg explorer robot, combat robot. You will need many different circuits. For example

– Arduino or other MCUs – Master control brain
– An additional voltage regulator to feed all sensors and other circuits.
– A power distribution board that multiplies the IO voltage supplies
– Indicators such as Buzzer & Led that you can output from the program.
– Extra inputs like button & mode selector switch.
– The differential is the dual motor driver you should use for driving on 2 independent channels.

And plenty of cables for all those connections…

This is one of the solution. It’s not wrong, but it’s a way that could be more problematic in many ways. Cable connections may come out, and the system with separate parts may cause problems in electrical transmission.

The other solution is XMotion Mega.

You can combine main Arduino based controller, motor drivers, voltage regulator and IO connections on one board. You can strengthen your robot project with more organized connections.

In terms of cost, on the one hand, individual costly parts, on the other hand, the XMotion Mega with guaranteed operation and protected outputs. You can build your project on a solid foundation with a one-time controller cost with ready to use codes.
